Court Livery Dinner – 28 January 2013

The splendour of the Butchers Hall set the scene for the Court dinner. The capacity audience were entertained by Jeremy Guscott and Adrian Davies. We dined on sumptuous beef and Chester Boyd went above and beyond with staff in pink bow ties and produced bow tie chocolates. Book early to avoid disappointment in April.

Lord Mayor Appeal Concert – 25 January 2013

Appeal to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. The Organ is housed in Mansion House for this year and will then be moved to Westminster Abbey as its permanent home. There are further concerts over the year and would thoroughly recommend booking for one of them. Details are on the Lord Mayors Appeal site.

Fletchers Court Dinner – 9 January 2013

An intimate dinner at Fletchers Hall following their Court dinner, the private guest of Clive Coward, but in distinguished company with Masters Musician and Solicitor. Fun evening with entertainment from a harpist, not sure how she travels with that, a flute would have been easier!

Plaisterers Dinner for Masters & Clerks of City Livery Companies – 8 January 2013

A great start to 2013 where 53 Masters and 50 Clerks assembled to enjoy the Company of the Plaisterers. Good to meet up with a lot of Masters already well met and be able to bid hearty New Year wishes. Some interesting twists, the Plaisterers are one of only 3 companies who have the man behind the Loving Cup drinker facing inwards not outwards and they passed a horn of snuff around. Rude to refuse, well you have to try everything at least once don’t you!
