RAF Wyton 25.8.16

David and I had a most enjoyable visit at the invitation of The Commanding Officer of 42 Engineer Regiment (Geographic), on the occasion The Anniversaries Day celebrating the 300th Anniversary of The Corps of Royal Engineers and the 100th Anniversary of RAF Wyton.

Charterhouse 19.8.16

The Master Barber kindly invited me, together with several other Masters, to a private viewing of an exhibition of works by the Canadian artist Charles Pachter held in the historic Great Chamber. It was a privilege to hear the artist talking about his life and his work. We were treated to very generous drinks and finger buffet.

Carpenters’ Hall 2.8.16

FullSizeRenderI was one of five visiting Masters invited to a delicious Installation Court Luncheon in the delightful Carpenters’ Hall.

The guest of honour was His Excellency The Ambassador of the Netherlands. Speeches were by the new Master Alistair Gregory-Smith and the speech in reply on behalf of the guests was by Jeremy Blanford, The Master Cordwainer.

Avid readers of my Blog may like to know that not a lot happens in The City in August. Normal service will be resumed at the beginning of September!
