Ironbridge Weekend – 8th, 9th and 10th June 2018

The Master and Master’s Lady joined The Lord Mayor, Lady Mayoress, The Sheriff’s and their Consorts together with c.200 others for the 2018 Masters and Consorts weekend at Ironbridge. This has been an annual tradition for the past 35 years.

The Master was arrested by a policeman and taken to The Estate Office at Blists Hill for not paying his rent….a trumped up charge. Fortunately he escaped the grip of The Estate Surveyor (Father of the Company — Alan Gillett) nimbly leaping on to Trigger’s unsaddled back (see Photo) and making a safe getaway, last seen heading for the woods!!

The Ironbridge Gorge Museum is a World Heritage Site being the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.

There are a total of 10 award-winning museums including the Blists Hill Victorian Town.  The Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors dismantled, brick by brick an original Estate Office from the Sutherland Estate and re-built it in this truly exceptional reconstructed Victorian Town.
