Surveyors Livery Lite, part of the Chartered Surveyors Livery Company, is for the next generation of Chartered Surveyors. First established in 2012, we comprise a group with its own committee and programme. It is often the first step to becoming a Liveryman and membership is open to any qualified Chartered Surveyor.

We offer a range of activities, promoting fun and fellowship, offering in time a mentor scheme and the opportunity to join the Livery Company itself should this appeal to you.

Its aims encompass and espouse the same ethos as all Livery companies – education, charity and fellowship. It serves as an introduction to the Livery movement and whilst we hope many members will have a desire to progress on to full membership of the Livery it does, for some, become a happy permanent home.

The group runs an extensive programme of lectures building visits and social events throughout the year, and most are eligible for credit towards the RICS CPD requirements. Past events have included tours of the Leadenhall Building, Rib Trip, Sheep Drive, Ceremony of the Keys, the Old Bailey and the Bank of England along with lectures on Landlord and Tenant law, rights of light and Crossrail.

In addition, members are encouraged to involve themselves in the educational and charitable activities of the Livery. These programmes are key to the Livery movement and the Chartered Surveyors Company is no exception supporting four inner London schools in a variety of ways and regularly raising and distributing charitable donations to a mix of causes. More information is available in the relevant sections of the website and the Clerk will be able to let you have details of how to get involved.

Becoming part of Surveyors Livery Lite is a great way to make new friendships and relationships within the profession.

We’d also like to hear from you, about what our organisation can offer in the way of support in the profession.
